Telenor Norway pledges 50% cut in business flights to underline call to corporate action over climate change

Telenor Norway said it has set itself a New Year's Resolution to cut flights by at least 50 percent once the Covid-19 pandemic is over, compared with the number of air trips for work before the crisis began. Its CEO Petter-Borre Furburg and Bjorn Kjaerand Haugland, Skift Business Climate Leaders, have jointly called for lessons to be learned from the reduction in travel since 12 March because of Covid-19, given the contributions made to global warning by burning fossil fuels for transport.
