Telenor Norway Q2 revenue falls 3% as hardware sales drop, decline in legacy fixed line sales hit profit

Tuesday 16 July 2019 | 11:03 CET | News
Telenor Norway said revenue in the second quarter fell by 3 percent to NOK 6.29 billion from NOK 6.46 billion a year earlier, mainly because of lower hardware sales. Mobile subscription and traffic revenue rose to NOK 2.77 billion from NOK 2.73 billion but fixed line revenue fell to NOK 2.53 billion from NOK 2.63 billion. The gross profit decreased to NOK 4.93 billion from NOK 4.98 billion because of the drop in high-margin fixed legacy revenues, as well as higher TV content costs.
