Telenor Pakistan tops 40 mln subscribers in Q1

Telenor Pakistan posted an operating profit of NOK 615 million in the first quarter of the year, up from NOK 514 million in the year-ago period. The operator's revenues for the quarter amounted to NOK 2.02 billion, up from NOK 1.89 billion in the same period the previous year. Total revenues increased by 10 percent, driven by continued subscription growth, increased incoming international traffic and higher handset sales, parent company Telenor reported. Subscription and traffic revenues increased by 10 percent.
