Telenor sales, EBITDA up in Norway on broadband demand

Wednesday 23 July 2014 | 12:11 CET | News
Telenor reported higher results in its home market Norway for the second quarter, helped by demand for mobile and fixed internet and TV services. Mobile revenues rose to NOK 3.56 billion, with underlying growth of 6 percent thanks to a 1 percent annual increase in subscribers, higher ARPU and more handsets sold. The subscriber base was down by 12,000 compared to March to 3.205 million at the end of June, which Telenor attributed to the loss of a number of low-revenue customers. ARPU rose 4 percent from a year ago to NOK 304, thanks to demand for data plans and a revamp of tariffs. LTE
