Telenor Sweden sales up on acquisition, loses more customers

Telenor Sweden reported an increase in second-quarter revenues, to NOK 2.84 billion from NOK 2.67 billion a year earlier, thanks to its takeover of Tele2's fixed business in January. Excluding the acquisition, mobile revenues were up 1 percent in local currency, while fixed revenues fell 7 percent. Adjusted EBITDA rose to NOK 890 million from NOK 805 million a year ago, and the margin improved to 31.4 percent from 30.1 percent. This was helped by efficiency measures and lower subscriber acquisition costs. Excluding the Tele2 deal, the margin rose by 2.5 percent points. Telenor's mobile
