Telenor Sweden had an increase in second quarter revenue to NOK 3.14 billion from NOK 3.09 billion a year earlier. It restated its figures for 2016 to reflect the fact that Daxcom is now reported as part of Telenor Sweden. Fixed revenues climbed to NOK 920 million from NOK 837 million, thanks to strong growth in high speed internet, as well as the consolidation since April of system integrator Network Services Nordic. Organically, fixed revenues increased by 8 percent, it said.

Mobile revenue fell to NOK 2.22 billion from NOK 2.26 billion. Mobile revenues increased by 2 percent year on year, it said, thanks to higher handset sales.

Operating profit improved to NOK 651 million from NOK 587 million, supported by improved handset margins and growth in fixed broadband.

The number of Swedish mobile customers rose by 13,000 from 31 March to 2.66 million on 30 June. The fixed internet subscriber base swelled by 6,000 to 674,000. The number of fixed telephony customers dropped by 6,000 to 201,000 and the number of television subscribers rose by 3,000 to 467,000. The total number of high speed fixed internet subscriptions ended at 557,000, said Telenor, as 12,000 fibre connections were added in the second quarter.

Mobile ARPU fell to NOK 207 in the second quarter from NOK 211 in the first, caused by lower roaming revenues and price pressure in the enterprise sector. Internet ARPU edged up to NOK 211 from NOK 210 in the first quarter. Telephony ARPU held steady at NOK 69 and TV ARPU rose to NOK 135 from NOK 131.
