Telenor to cut 180 jobs in Norway

Telenor announced plans to cut 180 jobs in its home country Norway. The restructuring will see offices in Forde and Steinkjer close, as well as a business customer centre in Stavanger. The office in Lillehammer will be closed, and the employees transferred to Faberg. In addition a reorganisation of the business division will see redundancies mainly at Fornebu. Telenor said the changes are needed to respond to the growing digitsation of society and the economy, leading to changing customer behaviour.
