Telenor to launch services in Myanmar on 27 September

Telenor Group will start connecting customers in Myanmar on 27 September. The official roll-out of Telenor's network in Myanmar will start in the country's second-largest city, Mandalay. Telenor will then expand its network to the metropolitan hubs of Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon, and then to more towns, villages and rural areas. Telenor will deliver voice, data and value-added services over 2G and 3G technologies, designed for the mass-market. Customers will be able to acquire a Telenor SIM card for MMK 1,500 (approximately USD 1.5) and will be available along with top-up cards at all points of
