Telenor upgrades Oslo arena mobile coverage

Telenor said it's completed the upgrade of the communications network at the Telenor Arena outside Oslo. The company said it first saw problems with meeting visitor demand at a Madonna concert last year, and in the year to October 2013 data traffic increased 70 percent. The operator installed 282 antennas, over 7.5km of cable and 13 base stations to boost coverage at the arena. The 25,000-capacity stadium now has 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi coverage throughout. On the last of the three Justin Bieber concerts at the arena, 150 GB of data was downloaded and there were 7,500 unique users on the Wi-Fi
