Telesat revenues down 10%, EBITDA falls 17% in Q2

Thursday 30 July 2020 | 15:50 CET | News
Satellite operator Telesat reported second-quarter revenues down 10 percent year-on-year to CAD 208 million, impacted by the end of a contract with a North American DTH customer late last year and more short-term services provided in the year-earlier period. Amid increased expenses for bad debt and its LEO programme, adjusted EBITDA fell 17 percent to CAD 164 million. Net profit still improved, to CAD 162 million from CAD 135 million a year earlier, thanks to forex gains and reduced interest payments.
