Telesat revenues slide 8% to CAD 232 mln in Q4

Canadian satellite operator Telesat said fourth quarter revenues fell 8 percent from the year before to CAD 232 million, pulled down by non-recurring short-term contracts, partially offset by the new Telstar satellite, which entered into service last summer. Operating expenses for the quarter went 52 percent higher, pushing the adjusted EBITDA down 8 percent to CAD 190 million. Expenses were mainly associated with share units and stock options granted. The net result went to a loss of CAD 187 million from a profit of 72 million, mainly due to negative forex effects as well as a lower
