Telesites will not offer preferential price to America Movil

Monday 27 April 2015 | 17:11 CET | News
Mexican mobile telephony operator Telcel, owned by America Movil, will not have access to preferential prices from the recently created infrastructure firm Telesites, America Movil's CEO Daniel Hajj told a conference call with investors. On 17 April, shareholders of America Movil approved the company's plans to spin off some of its mobile infrastructure in Mexico into the new company Telesites, which would be listed separately on the stock market. Hajj said that Telesites will operate 10,800 telecoms towers in Mexico. Hajj said Telesites will launch commercial operations in July 2015.
