Televisa looks to compete against America Movil

Mexican broadcaster Televisa is seeking, along with other companies, to create a national company with the goal of competing in the telecommunications market with America Movil, reports CNN Expansion. According to Alfonso de Angoitia, vice president of Televisa Group, it is necessary to create a competitor that has the size and scale to confront and compete against the dominant player in the sector, adding that his company is interested in the consolidation of the cable industry.
