Telia announces next stage of '5G Ride' driverless passenger vehicle project

Telia Company has announced the continuation in 2021 of the '5G Ride' autonomous passenger vehicle project. A self-driving mini-bus plied a 1.6 km tourist route on the island of Djurgarden in Stockholm in a pilot in autumn 2020. The scheme has now been granted funding to develop connected control towers for the safe introduction of driverless electric vehicle vehicles in urban areas.
