Telia completes sale of Tcell stake

Thursday 27 April 2017 | 12:37 CET | News
Telia has completed the sale of its remaining stake in Tajikistan operator Tcell after all, after earlier saying it was having problems selling the 60 percent stake to Tcell's other shareholder, the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED). The transaction price is based on an enterprise value of USD 46.2 million, of which Telia Company's 60 percent share corresponds to USD 27.7 million. As a result of the transaction with AKFED, all the tax liabilities now belong to Tcell and its new shareholder, the company said.
