Telia notes 'unusually critical' responses to Norwegian draft law on intelligence service access to data

Telia Company said that there have been "unusually critical" responses from relevant parties to proposed Norwegian legislation obliging providers of telecommunications services to enable an intelligence service (Etteretningstjenesten) to gather electronic information that crosses the national border. The proposed set-up might lead to direct access and the authority would then, based on decisions by a court, be able to search the metadata.
