Telia report finds pupils need support in spotting online misinformation

Tuesday 7 December 2021 | 12:47 CET | News
Telia Company said the nine out of ten children have encountered misinformation online, but only one third regularly checks the veracity of content before spreading it. The operator said 5,027 children aged 11 to 17 in Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden participated in the report "Children's Experiences with Misinformation Online", compiled in conjunction with World Childhood Foundation and Ipsos. It found that one in four has seen lies about themselves posted on social media.
