Telkom South Africa discontinues prepaid copper services on 01 August.

Thursday 1 August 2019 | 12:15 CET | News
Telkom South Africa said that it has upgraded over 96 percent of its prepaid fixed line customers to wireless prepaid service to improve service. It said its wireless service is more reliable than its copper lines and less susceptible to interruptions caused by adverse weather, faults and cable theft. Based on the success of the upgrades, Telkom is now ready to discontinue its legacy copper-based fixed line prepaid service platform and will do so with effect from 01 August.
