Telkom South Africa hopes spectrum auction design will allow effective competition

Telkom South Africa says it is looking forward to modernisation by authorities in the auctioning of both wholesale open access network (WOAN) and International Mobile Telecommunication (IMT) spectrum by end of this month, ITWeb reported. On 03 September, the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) said it would issue an invitation to apply for both WOAN and high-demand IMT spectrum no later than 30 September.
