Telkom starts migration from copper to fibre

Telkom is moving customers from copper-based internet to fibre technology in every fibre-ready region of South Africa where DSL infrastructure overlaps with its FTTH footprint. Customers will benefit from faster upload and download speeds, a more stable connection, and reduced down-time. Fibre infrastructure is not at risk of cable theft as DSL has been.
