Telstra breached structural separation measures 7 times

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued its first report on Telstra's compliance with its Structural Separation Undertaking (SSU). The company reported seven breaches of the measures to the regulator and the ACCC said that Telstra has taken steps to ensure compliance with its SSU obligations since reporting the issues. The majority of the breaches relate to Telstra's obligations to ensure that protected information—confidential or commercially sensitive wholesale customer information—is not disclosed to the company's retail businesses.
