Telstra buys O2 Networks
Australian telecommunications carrier Telstra has acquired O2 Networks, a local provider of network and security consulting and integration services for enterprise customers. Headquartered in Melbourne, O2 has more than 100 staff serving 370 customers. Telstra will maintain the O2 brand for the time being and all O2 staff will continue to be employed by Telstra after the acquisition. The acquisition is complete and was not subject to ACCC approval.

Australian communications carrier Telstra is celebrating the launch of the HTC One in gold –a Telstra exclusive- by giving out a free one. The 24-karat gold plated phone is valued at AUD 5000. Telstra unveils relief package for Perth bushfire victims

Australian communications carrier Telstra has unveiled an assistance package for its residential and small business customers in three Perth suburbs who have lost services as a result of the current fires. Telstra overhauls international roaming zones

Telstra has overhauled is international roaming zones. From 24 March, each zone will have one price to make and receive calls. Calls will be charged in 60-second blocks instead of the current 30-second blocks, in line with the company's domestic plans. Australia's Telstra has entered into an agreement to sell a 70 percent stake in its directories business, Sensis. Telstra will sell the stake to US based private equity firm, Platinum Equity for AUD 454 million. Telstra pays fine for slow landline connections

Australian telecommunications provider Telstra has paid the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) an administrative penalty of AUD 510,000 for failing to provide timely new urban landline customer connections in the 2012-13 financial year.
