Telstra expands 4G coverage to 99% of Australian population

Australian operator Telstra has announced it has expanded its 4G coverage to 99 percent of the Australian population. The operator's 4G coverage currently spans more than 1.4 million square kilometres. According to Mike Wright, Telstra's managing director, networks, the operator now has around 7,000 4G sites across its network. Combined, Telstra's 3G and 4G coverage now reaches 99.4 percent of the population, covering 2.4 million square kilometres of the Australian landmass.
