Australian operator Telstra has launched the first 150 hotspots in its national Wi-Fi network. Back in May, the operator announced an AUD 100 million plan to create a Wi-Fi network. Telstra plans to deploy over 2 million Wi-Fi hotspots across Australia over the next 5 years. Customers across Australian can now trial free Wi-Fi services at iconic locations including Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne, Hyde Park in Sydney and King George Square in Brisbane as well as in many regional towns and cities across Australia.
