Telstra launches relief package for Victorian customers

Australian telecommunications operator Telstra has released an assistance package for customers affected by Victorian bushfires in the Macedon Ranges and Gippsland. Telstra's relief packages include free use of payphones in the area, free call diversion, the ability to make local and STD calls on the mobile phone at fixed-line rates, and a one-off credit of AUD 100 for prepaid customers without a home phone line. Customers can also get free re-connection of a Telstra fixed service within twelve months and free cancellation and re-connection of BigPond internet services.
