Telstra makes first commercial 5G to 5G video call

Australian operator Telstra has announced that it has made its first 5G to 5G video call, reaching from Sydney to the Telstra 5G Innovation Centre on the Gold Coast. The 5G video call was also repeated in another real-world demonstration between Sydney and the Gold Coast, using Telstra's 5G technology at both locations. The commercial 5G video call used network hardware from Ericsson and Qualcomm Technologies' 5G Mobile Test Platform form factor device. According to Telstra, 130 mobile base stations across Australia have already been upgraded with 5G technology, and 70 more will be made 5G
