Telstra to cut 800 jobs at Sensis

Australian telecommunications provider Telstra plans to cut 800 jobs from its directories business, Sensis. This latest job cull targets advertising operations, sales, management, and support area roles, The Australian reports. Sensis further plans to create two telephone sales centres in Melbourne and Sydney and a new mobile operating model for face-to-face sales teams. Meanwhile, the Community and Public Sector Union took Sensis and Telstra to the Fair Work Commission accusing the company of not keeping its staff informed of the impending changes.
