Telstra to invest up to AUD 800 mln in network expansion

Australian operator Telstra has announced it plans to invest AUD 350 million in new technology and regional base stations over the next 4 - 5 years. Telstra also plans to spend AUD 240 million to continue its work on the first two rounds of the Mobile Black Spot Programme. A further AUD 100 – AUD 200 million will be used for new regional co-investments. With the co-investments, this could represent an AUD 1 billion boost to regional, rural and remote mobile coverage, Telstra said.
