Telstra trials FttN with Alcatel-Lucent

Monday 23 September 2013 | 04:25 CET | News
Australian telecommunications carrier Telstra has begun a trial of fibre-to-the-node (FttN) technology, which is the new government's preferred National Broadband Network model. The trial, which began in early September, uses equipment from Alcatel-Lucent, The Australian Financial Review writes. "We started the VDSL vectoring trial just after the election and it is going well," a spokesperson told the paper. "We haven't demonstrated its capabilities to anyone yet."
