Tencent joins Alliance for Open Media board

Tencent has joined the Alliance for Open Media (AOMedia) for open video codec at board-level. As an AOMedia member, Tencent joins fellow board-level members Amazon, ARM, Cisco, Facebook, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Mozilla, Netflix, NVIDIA, and Samsung Electronics. AOMedia is a nonprofit organisation formed by internet and media technology companies with the aim to define and create open standards for media compression and delivery over the web.
