Tencent to put ID checks in all of its games by 2019

Monday 5 November 2018 | 08:58 CET | News
After bringing out new age checks for its Honour of Kings game, Tencent now plans to expand the system to its entire game portfolio by next year, Bloomberg reported, citing a post on the company's official WeChat account. The move comes in response to growing criticism the company is contributing to addiction among young people. The age checks will start with Tencent's 10 most popular games and then get extended to the full lineup.
