Terra invests USD 10 million to relaunch portal

Telefonica's internet portal Terra is investing USD 10 million to change its website to give it the image of a social network, allowing greater customisation of the content displayed. Under the new design, which goes live on 31 March, the content will be displayed as 'cards', i.e. small squares that are automatically arranged according to the browsing profile and preferences of the internet user. The changes are expected to raise advertising revenues by 20 percent in 2014, according to Paulo Castro, global president of Terra. Advertising is responsible for 40 percent of Terra's revenues,
