Thailand postpones 2G mobile service shutdown

Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has withdrawn plans for the 2G mobile system shutdown on grounds that the country's three mobile operators are still willing to provide this service to their customers, local newspaper Bangkok post reports. Thailand was planning to shut down its 2G mobile system in October this year.
