Third of Germans use cloud storage - survey

German internet users increasingly trust in online storage services; 32 percent use services such as Dropbox, Telekom Cloud or the Apple iCloud to store their photos, music, films or other data, according to a survey conducted on behalf of IT association Bitkom. In 2014, 27 percent used cloud storage. The survey showed that especially young people use these services; 53 percent of those aged 14 to 29 store their data in the cloud compared to 35 percent of respondents aged 30 to 49, 17 percent of those aged 50 to 64, and 9 percent of respondents over 65.
