Tieto develops Norwegian registry for corporate data protection officers

Finnish IT company Tieto said that the Norwegian Data Protection Agency has established a national registry for corporate data protection officers (DPOs) using a system developed by Tieto. Under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that comes into force in May 2018, many firms and organisations must appoint a DPO to ensure compliance with the legislation, said Tieto.
