Tieto, KTH urge Swedish industry to modernise IT systems

Finnish IT company Tieto and Sweden's Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) have issued a report titled 'The road ahead for Scandinavian industry', calling for a new approach to industrial production as digitisation advances. Environmental sustainability must be safeguarded while new business models secure long-term competitiveness, they said. Companies in process and discrete manufacturing need to act quickly to catch up with other business sectors such as telecoms and retail, they said.
