Tieto, Metsa tie up on bark beetle, forest management

Tieto and Metsa Group said they are developing new services for timber trading and forestry. The two firms are teaming up with Austrian start-up Festmeter to develop an advance warning system for bark beetle, which is a major threat to forests. Tieto and Metsa are also working with CTRL Reality on a virtual forest asset management system.
