Tieto says Nordic organisations lag North American counterparts in digital modernisation

More than half of the global economy will be digitised by 2021, according to an IDC study commissioned by software firm Tieto. This means that organisations are compelled to digitise offerings, supply chains and entire business models to remain competitive and relevant, it said. The IDC report 'Towards a data-drive future' found that 29 percent of North American companies are "digital transformers", compared with only 16 percent in the Nordic region, and only 7 percent of Nordic organisations have changed revenue model or made similar fundamental shifts in their businesses models.
