Tigo Bolivia bids USD 48 mln for domestic football rights

The Bolivian football federation FBF has confirmed that Tigo Bolivia (Millicom) submitted the highest offer for exclusive rights to air domestic football games in its relaunched tender. Tigo offered a total of USD 48.7 million for the rights to broadcast games over the four years from 2021 to 2024, equivalent to over USD 12 million a season and the FBF said it will be conducting formal negotiations with Tigo before referring an offer to its executive committee for approval.
