Tigo Colombia activates first 700MHz antenna in digital divide locality

Colombian operator Tigo (Millicom) has activated its first 4G antenna connected to the 700MHz band in the rural locality of Curundo La Banca in the Choco department around two years after acquiring the corresponding spectrum. The rollout is part of Tigo's rural coverage commitments after it was awarded 40MHz of spectrum in the December 2019 tender.
