Tigo Tanzania runs 'Lipa Kwa Simu, uWini' promotion with prizes for hitting digital payment transaction targets

Tigo Tanzania has started an end-of-year promotion called "Lipa Kwa Simu, uWini" to encourage digital payment take-up. Tigo Pesa subscribers could win cash prizes of up to TZS 1,000,000, gift vouchers and 10 percent cashback when they use Lipa Kwa Simu to pay for goods or services at selected merchants. The ten winners with the greatest number of Lipa Kwa Simu transactions during the campaign win TZS 1 million each.
