Friday 22 October 2021 | 09:07 CET | News
Telecom Italia (TIM) said it has reached an agreement with Pavia city council in the northern Lombardy region to roll out fibre-to-the-home and 5G networks throughout the locality in what will be a total investment of EUR 10 million. The company said the aim of the Pavia Smart City project is to connect around 28,000 homes as well as civic buildings, university buildings and health centres to TIM's 5G and FTTH networks, the latter enabling download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, up from the current maximum of 200 Mbps.
