The board of Telecom Italia (TIM) is set to meet on 01 June, a week earlier than planned, to discuss a number of pending governance issues, according to unnamed sources cited by Italian daily Il Messaggero. The issues to be discussed include the proposed concessions made by top shareholder Vivendi to the European Commission in an antitrust case, with TIM already having denied rumours that it could be forced to sell its stake in broadcasting company Persidera. However, Vivendi has reportedly already informed the EC that it’s willing to divest TIM’s 70 percent stake in Persidera to address competition concerns.
