TIM Brasil net profit drops 50% to BRL 172 mln in Q3

TIM Brasil ended the third quarter with an adjusted net profit of BRL 172 million, a drop of 50 percent on the same period in 2014. The result exclude proceeds from the second stage of the sale of mobile towers to American Tower do Brasil. Including the tower sales, profit rose 2.3 percent year-on-year to BRL 356.5 million. EBITDA fell 2.7 percent to BRL 1.29 billion (ex towers sales). With the tower sales included, EBITDA grew 17.3 percent to BRL 1.56 billion. EBITDA margin (ex towers sale) was 31.5 percent, while EBITDA service margin (excluding the handset business) reached 36.3 percent.
