TIM bringing gigabit FTTH to Cuneo in EUR 7 mln rollout

Thursday 11 March 2021 | 10:38 CET | News
Telecom Italia (TIM) announced an agreement with Cuneo city council to bring fibre-to-the-home services to the Piedmont locality in a total investment of EUR 10 million. The FTTH rollout is part the plans of its FiberCop co-investment venture and will eventually enable residents in around 20,000 premises to access the internet at download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, up from the current maximum of 200 Mbps. TIM's existing FTTC network covers around 23,000 homes, equivalent to 92 percent of the city's lines.
