TIM CEO handed full powers to approve Oi acquisition

Telecom Italia (TIM) announced that its board of directors met for an update on the potential acquisition of Oi's mobile assets in Brazil, in partnership with Telefonica. In a brief statement, TIM said the board acknowledged the work done by TIM Brasil since the offer was tabled in March and that CEO Luigi Gubitosi had been granted full powers to examine and approve the final terms of the binding offer to be submitted by the Brazilian subsidiary, according to local corporate governance rules.
