TIM CEO reviving Open Fiber option after spinoff snub - report

The newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Italia (TIM) is set to hire advisers to examine options for the company's landline network that include a network-sharing deal or merger with wholesale-only operator Open Fiber, according to unnamed sources cited by Bloomberg. Luigi Gubitosi was appointed in November to replace former CEO Amos Genish, whose plan to legally separate the network was given an initial thumbs down last week by communications regulator Agcom. Among options under consideration by Gubitosi is whether to spin off the network business as a separate listing and
