TIM-controlled single fibre network a 'backward step' - Cardani

The potential merger of the fixed fibre networks of Telecom Italia (TIM) and Open Fiber into a single  entity controlled by the former would be a "backward step", according to the head of Italian communications watchdog Agcom. "Should the incumbent (TIM) control the new entity it would not just be a big U-turn but also a backward step," Angelo Cardani told reporters, according to Reuters.
