TIM, Robopac set up first 5G smart factory in San Marino

Telecom Italia (TIM) has teamed up with industrial technology company Robopac to work toward the creation of the first 5G smart factory in the Republic of San Marino. The overall aim of the partnership is to analyse and evaluate the potential of 5G networks by identifying use cases related to the development of innovative services and solutions for Industry 4.0, made possible by the high capacity and low latency of fifth generation mobile networks. TIM and Robopac said they've already started developing the first services of what will be the "factory of tomorrow".
