TIM to bring gigabit FTTH to Trapani

Wednesday 12 May 2021 | 10:14 CET | News
Telecom Italia (TIM) announced plans to expand its fibre-to-the-home network to the city of Trapani in western Sicily in a total investment of EUR 5 million. The company said the rollout will eventually enable residents in around 21,500 homes to access the internet at download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, up from the current maximum of 200 Mbps. TIM's existing FTTC network in Trapani already covers around 25,500 homes, the vast majority of the city's population.
